A New Year’s Eve Couch Party! Finger food recipes and drinks to keep you UP until 2020 goes DOWN!
What’s a couch party? It’s our version of a dressed down New Year’s Eve. Jump into your comfy clothes, grab your quarantine buddies and check out these finger food recipes and special drinks because the worst year is about to come to an end baby!
2020 is about to be history and if you are as excited as we are about it, then let’s go out and celebrate… Oh wait, forget it! There’s that whole covid-19 pandemic thing going on so probably best to remain where you are (and have been all year) and celebrate in your pj’s. And, we are all about that!
If there’s any year to say goodbye to, its 2020, am I right? What with murder hornets, Karen’s, and the fact that half the country isn’t talking to the other half (or listening either) it’s probably best to just sing at the top of your lungs at midnight “Na, na, na, na, Na, na, na, na, Hey, Hey, Hey, G.O. O. D. B. Y. E”!
But, if you are more interested in making this December 31st more special, then make food and drink your friends this New Year’s Eve, at least they can’t spread a virus to you! So, “who” should you invite?
At the top of the list is that effervescent and “bubbly friend” that makes any party special, champagne. Considering a party on the couch is about as safe as it gets, these recipes to follow should add the right amount of sparkle to the end of 2020…
What’s a party on the couch without something to nibble on? If you’ve tacked on the Quarantine 15 welcome to the club! You can’t cry about it on the last day of the year so you might as well enjoy yourself before you climb onto that scale to start your New Year’s weight-loss resolution. So, go out with a bang, with these tasty little morsels!
Not midnight yet? Still on your feet? We’ve found some great sweet endings to the evening…
Whatever your plans this December 31st, when the countdown is over, take a moment to count your blessings, hug your quarantine buddies and blow some New Year’s Eve kisses to everyone you know on ZOOM. We wish you nothing but the best for 2021. See you all in the next blog, Cheers!
